Trust - Poem by Gordon Jerome

Now we lay together on this meadows green
Where nature’s great symphony reigns supreme
A Hoot Owl awakens beneath a clear starry night
As the meadow grass glistens in the full moons light
Like the glitter of stardust fireflies sift through the air
As they scatter themselves as if the devil may care
With the crickets now playing their most familiar tune
I take in all of your beauty by the light of the moon
We lie side by side and share each other’s dreams
Our hopes and desires and misguided schemes
We are free of the world when we are alone
Free to experience the joys we are shown
“closing thought”
Special times spent together are forever yours to treasure
Secrets shared with a trusting partner can heighten so much pleasure
