Truth Poem by James Jones

Truth

Rating: 4.6

If seeing is believing
Belief is only skin deep
This means that you must see belief in everything you see.
What do you see in me?

What moral, personal, social, political belief do you see in me?
I'm not to you what I am to me
Of that I am sure.

When you see your belief
You don't see the innermost workings of my mind
And so your imagination is left to fill in the blanks of your belief.

Imagination, is make believe.
Now do you see?
What's left is,
What is me?
