Twilight falls upon us
As I listen to the spirit fire
That dwells deep within my heart tonight
Am I the only one that listens
To the message that flows from the essence
Of our lives

Will we fall by the wayside
As we watch the fires burn
Will we lose our direction
As the world turns throughout the night

Are we certain of the future
As we watch the nations fall
Do we hear the distant calls
Of the past or even notice
That the writing's on the wall

Are we open to the message that dwells
Deep within our hearts tonight
Are we open to the light of our own soul
As we watch the stars tonight
