What keeps the cycle of life going?

My heart hums like bees
And flutters like butterflies,
Blooms like the blossoms
And sings like the cardinals -

The sunlight,
Softly removes the blanket of snow
To awaken earth from winter's sleep

In the unknown dark abyss of mind
When gloom and frustration twined
Which you oftentimes couldn't escape
Those things clothed in black drape

It was during my childhood,
May be at the age of nine,
I experienced something unusual,
Something difficult to define
