Unintended (Pun) Poem by pavitra singh

Unintended (Pun)

Lost in some astral plane,
Tangible lucid dreams,
Situations unthinkable,
Conclusions unvaried,
Everything psychedelic.
I'm getting high off your incense,
But,
You keep turning me down like a banned narcotic.

Tried to break apart,
Trying hard to open my eyes,
My lips you suck dry,
Your caustic tongue,
corroding me from the inside,
This beautiful pain,
Few months in rehab,
next in jail.
Arms sore of needle pricks,
Battle scars unhealed,
Life's mystery on this tapestry,
My skin, finally reveals;
Spent years in school, learning stuff i never see
Used,
Useless waste of time,
My semi precious life,
Donated half to this world,
The rest for you to sell cheap...

A university scholar, a heavyweight champion...
You humans jinxed my fairy tale life.

What else could you want?

Well, life is about much smaller things,
That we ignore intentionally,
Love is blind and
the real god is a drunkard getting high on the streets
And still surviving, sleeping on the ground, with hopes of morning sunshine...
