Unsober - Poem by jenney burrow

Your stare is blank
your mind is full
words are flowing out of your mouth
your heart is set
your ears are closed
tears falling down your cheeks

reality is gone
you can't deal
flush it all down your throat
life is great
so vibrantly colored
take another hit

you say one thing
but mean the other
who are you
I am here right now
please take my hand
you won't feel a thing

I can't stay long
in your company
you phase me out
Tell me why
help me understand
or ask me to go.
