Useless - Poem by Jack Fasano

Nothing is ever good enough
There’s nothing I can do
Every singe move I make
Is just a problem for you

I try to morph
I try to change
But everything
Is still the same

The way I walk, the way I talk
The things I eat, the things I say
Everything is wrong to you
You tell me every day

Why can’t I be good enough
When will it be done
I wish you could just deal with me
Because I am your son

You act like I am useless
We get into a fight
But in the end I’m thinking
If maybe you are right
