Vacancy(Revisited) - Poem by Andy Brookes
setting sun lighting sand,
dark dust blows from the beach.
I sit stiff, watching the horizon,
which mingles sky blue with sea green,
reminding me of your eyes.
time wrestles the breeze,
cool in the evening,
the twilight gently descends
mist rises tracing my face
like a mothers soft hand
this restless soul,
longing to be with you.
yearning for your warm innocence
I wish you here again,
to whisper a love song in your ear.
love with out you is just dry bones
an empty kiss.
no space for the soul to breath.
or a place for redemption.
just a vacancy in my heart.
