I’m exhausted and can no longer swim
But this ocean won’t get any deeper

Have even lost my self esteem
Tried to move on but my reverie of you still gleams
It's so hard not to think of you; it's so hard to forget you

Perhaps it was the last time I’ll travel that long mile
Gotta let go all these burning feelings and desire of mine
Foolish was I for reopening that closed chapter; that ceased part of my life
I should have learned, I should have known better

It’s been more than eight years now that I’ve known this girl
It’s been that long now but to me it still seems like it’s just yesterday that I met her
I still can vividly remember the first time I've been to their place
It was her sister's wedding and we've been invited to attend

Time, it’s not an enigma but a phenomenon
Passage of something we can never control
How one would wish he can control it
