Violent Night (1) - Poem by David SmithWhite

Violent night, gory night.
All are doomed to awful plight.
See yon trooper whose choices are stark;
to kill or be killed like a mad grinning shark.
Weep for your children deceased!
Weep for your children deceased!

Violent night, gory night.
All are damned, in your sight.
People scream as white phosphorus glows;
burns the skin right through their clothes.
Christ the pain will not stop!
Christ the pain will not stop!

Violent night, gory night.
Truth is scam, when wrong is right.
US power is naked and dark;
torture reigns in the state of Iraq.
Reap perpetual war!
Reap perpetual war!
