Vitamin C - Poem by Herbert Nehrlich 2

Gulonolactone oxidase
abetted by O-Two
makes in the first important phase
peroxide (bleach to you) .
Xylo-hexulo-nolactone
ascorbate's pollywog
we human beings must bemoan
that ev'ry lowly frog
and nearly all the critters can
create this vitamin
yet, absent in the common man
due to a mortal sin.
When Eve had given of her fruit
she did ignore His will
He gave them both the holy boot
and now we take a pill.
And, on the day you are unwell
remember to ingest
lest you enjoy the thought of Hell
this vitamin, be blessed.

Fine writing Herbert, with important, valid info for everyone to heed. I take an average of 2000mg every day & if I feel a cold coming on, I take 500mg per hour, along with zinc.
    Best regards, Trade.
