Voice Of Concience - Poem by Kaushal Sahakari
The almighty for his leisure
Created universe, with the utmost pleasure.
The earth was the only planet, destined to have life
And there it started, then was born I.
I led a happy life during the antiquities
Standing tall, talking with the sky
Helping the animals and watching the birds fly.
Then I met God’s very masterpiece –
The man who cared my existence and made life easier
I too, trusted him and loved his presence.
The day passed happily for me, until that very sunrise
Which changed my views and proved I was mistaken
The duplicitous man arrived,
Not alone, but now accompanied by greed
And destroyed my existence for the greater good.
Now I live in the paradise of heaven
But man, I warn thee!
That no longer is your earth safe and free
For now it is bound in the curses of millions of my kinsmen.
Now is the time to have some remorse
Treat the earth as if she is your mother,
Treat the tree as though she is your wife
Or else your own behavior will fetch you
A dreary, despairing and doleful life!
