Wait For The Night And A Cloudy Sky Poem by Comte Valois

Wait For The Night And A Cloudy Sky

You claim I'm a thief, that I stole your heart
That I took it right from you, and tore it apart
Well I may have a talent for stealing what's not mine
But destroying a life isn't my kind of crime

You claim that I stole the air from your lungs
And that I was your oxygen when this had begun
But everyone needs to breathe on their own
Because there's always a time that you face life alone

You claim that I took the life right from your core
That I stole it all and left you waiting for more
But no, I didn't reprive you of a thing
You only say this because of the attention it brings

So before you go and throw accusations at me
Take a look at what the real reason might be
I'm no thief of something money can't buy
So don't waste your time, don't even try
