Earth Mama

Wandering Star - Poem by Earth Mama

Oh, my precious furry friend
I wonder where you are
Have you wandered off
To follow that shining star?

It amazes me how big a hole
Can be left by one so small
Without you at home
Nothing is the same at all

I need to believe in my heart
That you felt the need to roam
And when you’ve had your adventure
You soon will be home

I close my eyes and you’re here with me
I hold you close, feel your warm fur
And in the still of the night air
I can feel your heart, hear your purr

So, my sweet precious one
I hope you can feel my love
And I pray for your protection
From the stars and heaven above

Until then, the tears will come
My hearts aches, the pain is true
For our family is no longer complete
Until we again have you.

For all the missing pets in our lives....may they come home soon
