Wasted Love - Poem by zoe Christodoulou

Why do I love you when I know
You’ll never love me back
You don’t even like me so
Why am I wasting my time

It’s all for nothing this wasted love
Unwanted, unneeded to you
I feel alone just like a dove
In a town which is full of pigeons

You hardly ever talk to me
I don’t even feel like a friend
But even though I can see
You hate me I still feel that way

Your name on my lips
They get fed up of me
I’m always talking about it
But that helps me a lot in a way

I feel so stupid and alone
Even though I have lots of friends
I wish that I could just be shown
A way out of this pain
