Wasted Time Poem by Timothy Lee Hollandsworth Jr.

Wasted Time

Rating: 5.0

The clock keeps ticking,
The sound echoes in my ears.
The days keep coming,
But they can't drown out the years.
Wakeless days and Sleepless nights
Consume my time.
Thoughts of you
Eat away at my mind.
Warped is the world,
Today I finally see.
I finally see the truth,
I see what you meant for me.
I trap myself
Within my own vision of hell.
I run and I run,
But cannot escape the sound of the bell.
It could have been different,
Instead you told your lies.
I swallowed them,
Because you played with my mind.
Isolated is the barren cold before us now.
I was there through thick and thin, I realize now.
Oh, how you played with my mind.
I realize now, it was all just wasted time.
