Waterfall - Poem by Donald Yates
Last night as I lay awake in the dark, pondering the day's events and seeking God's direction. I felt as if I were a waterfall cascading down a mountain side. Exposed and out of control, yet falling with tremendous force onto the rocks below.
was dispirited and shattered, falling toward certain failure when God reveal to me, each waterfall flows into a mighty river, renewed and even more forceful. Perhaps God has shown me that in the past my life has been scattered and now it will come together, forceful and complete in His guidance.
Truly, I am the water, he is the river bank that keeps me contained and flowing in the right direction. 'I once was lost but now I am found. I was blind but now I see.' How it is!
Living waters flow from above
Upon lost souls with enduring love
He sees and knows who we are
He knows us all near and far
To drink from His cup water of life
To know peace on earth without strife
He will come again I know for sure
He will come for me if I endure
The water flows for all mankind
Upon the heads for all to find
His gracious love will live in me
Until He comes again to set me free.
