Watery Eyes Poem by Mia Baer

Watery Eyes

Sometimes, those little lakes of a look
Remind me of the raging ocean
Swallowing dozens of ships in one gulp
And even in the night
When the ocean freezes into glass
Still pounding go the waves of adrenaline
That rush across flickering eyes
Floundering around in the middle of the ocean
Eyes tossing and turning beneath
The thin sheets of a dream
Only to wake up, washed up
Feeling the weight of the ocean within
