We. - Poem by Michael Gale

We wed...
We said.
We dread...
We read.

We fled...
We ate our bread.
We prayed...
We sped.

We crashed...
We dead!
Ouch! ...
That hurt.

For cert! ...
For sure!
We concur.

    And when they were fed
    They went to their stead
An' they all went to bed

TENtatively, as they 'd also been drinking...and went to sleep in the wrong house!

    Good Stuff, Sir Michael Jeffrey!
