We Don'T Even Try - Poem by Callum Kyle

Like a homeless man begging for change
like the enemies of rogue states
like endless empathy for fellow man
we have solutions but don't even try

like an alchoholic mother
like a lonely lover
like wishing for days of past long gone
we have solutions but don't even try

like the pandemic we call aids
like the starvation that can't be earased
like the bird trapped in a cage
we have solutions but don't even try

like depression caused suicide
like when a grown man cries
we have solutions but don't even try

like the hollocuast and the slaves
like the raping of the earth
and like the end so near
we had solutions
and didn't even try

Wow. I like this a lot. It just goes to show how easy it is to forget about stuff like this unless it affects you personally. (Report) Reply
