Were You There Poem by james watkin

Were You There

You would have seen, unseen
Heard, unheard
Red eyed, homing nightly
Through fogs opaque
Unsated, regardless;
A stepped heartache.

Whom had, from that grave rose
Dead to life's
For a home, first set out;
With this thirst:
A victim, to ravish.
As lone cursed!
