What - Poem by L.C. Bolds
I tried to Include you in my life
You cursed at me
Called me a female dog
'What' I said
The coward in you said
'I don't remember'
Yet as you proclaimed
I was seaching for a fight
A miracle spunned
You recalled the words
You held on to so tight
A man my ass
You never treated me like fragile glass
Never truly gleamed when you looked at me
A high school trophy
Tossed aside is how you viewed me.
While you glowed in the affectons
of a high school rejection
I was struggling with the fact
That this man my joy
This man who was to be my rock
Did not even understand my stock.
