What Else Died With Bobby? (Memorial To A Dream) Comments

Rating: 3.2
The simple act of voting holds most
Political expression in this land
And now I often wonder, is a ballot
Only a smokescreen we hold in hand?

The shooting of American political figures is a tragic reflection on our With that in mind I think the title of this poem is very fitting. A lot to think about.

Politics and hope are a heady mix. The notion that good comes from adversarial political contests is buried in the commercialisation it is presented with. The process becomes more important than the larger-than-life personalities. And hope is always the victim. A well stated case. Rgds, Ivan
