What Is Black? - Poem by Taylor MacDonald

What is Black?

Black is the night,
Closing in around you
Also the shadow
That’s everywhere you go

Black is a colour
Worn at a funeral
Black is the death raven
Telling you where to go

Eating away at your heart is a demon
Fighting it a deadly foe
In the war of
Light against dark

Dark will prevail
When the moon rises
Light will prevail
When the moon falls
