What Makes Me Break - Poem by Samuel Kapstad

I have known disease
cruel and purging hate
made my infection increase
lost in burning fires
twisted deep in love's desires
and ive felt my bones break
cried alone, reduced to shake
alone in pitch black
the greatest lie is one of comfort
for as great a lie, it covers the sky
it comes fleeting like a dove
it strikes as hard as a rock
only a pain as great as love
