What's Done Is Done - Poem by Chenell Nash

Rippin out pages from what used to be
tired of puttin my feelings down by poetry
so I dropp my pen and pick up a mic
speak my mind but it still doesn't feel right.
Undescesive my mind has become
scattered emotions
but my hearts pounding like a drum
there must be something that's holding me back
can't put my finger on it but it's there like...SMACK
so damn close that I can almost taste it
like a sweet delicious warm caramel pastry
but excuse my mind
I'm just being delirious
and to add on to it
I think it's here with us
cause I'm choking up into mournful tears
and my heart is soaring like a thousand spears
and my feet are shaking like unruffled squirrels
and when i speak all you hear is space out words
so what's this mess that just doesn't want to leave me be?
It's my feeling for you that leave me with worries and grieve
IT'S YOU! and I can't get over you but forget what I say
I'm dropping you like spit, it's time for me to split, quick!
So I pack up my bags and go on a run didn't want to go but
what's done is done.
Pride on my back and love in my arms find my pad pick up my pen and begin...again.
