What's With... - Poem by Dhruv Dikshit

What’s with the whirling wind?
Does it smack their faces for they have sinned?
What’s with the sneaking snake?
Has it sensed what they attempted to fake?

What’s with the cosy corners?
Are they balancing the devastated mourners?
What’s with the raging roads?
Are they a part of the deathly codes?

What’s with the weeping wards?
Aren’t they playing music without chords?
What’s with the bold bureaucrats?
Aren’t they biting the system like rats?

What’s with the initial inclining?
Doesn’t it go flat instead of refining?
What’s with the dream destination?
Could it bring back the same inclination?

What’s with the blind-folded law?
Does it not want to face the outlaw?
What’s with the fluorescent flowers?
Ain’t their life better than ours?

What’s with the critical crease?
Isn’t it the same land where they decease?
What’s with the flapping flags?
Aren’t they the whirlpools in which humanity drags?

What’s with all these nailing needs?
Asking for everything through pleads or greed?
What’s with everyone everywhere?
Aren’t they begging or waiting for someone somewhere?
