When I Think About You In My Arms - Poem by joseph short

When I think about you I can’t believe how long we have lasted,
And then again I wonder where you have been all my life,
I never want to let you go I just want to hold onto you,
If I could take you in my arms and hold you,
I would kiss you until my lips were gone,
I want you to be the one there for me,

And don’t you worry baby I will always be there for you,
I will hold you until the end of my time,
Even though the odds look dim you will always be mine,
If I could take you in my arms and hold you,
I would kiss you until my lips were gone,
I want you to be the one there for me,

You mean the world to me,
I could not go on if I lost you,
I just want to hold you until the end of time,
You make me feel like saving the world,
Because I know when I am in your arms,
You are my world and always will be nobody can change that,

If I could take you in my arms and hold you,
I would kiss you until my lips were gone,
I want you to be the one there for me,
I want you to tell me that you love me,
And I will respond with you will always be mine,
I will never let you go and I will never hurt you,

I couldn’t go on if you were gone,
You are everything to me,
The only one on earth that can save me,
If I could take you in my arms and hold you,
I would kiss you until my lips were gone,
I want to hold you until the end of time,

I want to take and make you realize,
That I could not move without you helping me up,
And pushing me along and I hope you feel the same,
If I could take you in my arms and hold you,
I would kiss you until my lips were gone,
I want to hold you until the end of time.
