When Voices Speak - Poem by Amalei Masigla

lying
eyes closed
trying to be what i am
there they speak
voices unknown to me
calling my name
waking me up
telling me things i can not understand
wanting to know why
finding out why
asking them why
but hold on
soon you will know
i wonder when they speak
i ask when they speak
i try to understand as i they come close
but my understanding of them is so limited
thats why i scream for more
when voices speak
of what secrets have they wanted to impart
of what emotions they wanted to know
green
eight
im hungry
choires i hear
singing angelic lullabyes
that makes me smile
makes me wonder more
when voices speak
