When We Were Young Poem by Jordane Parkes

Oh bring me back to the times when we were young,
when we had loads of fun,
our minds completely innocent and free,
bring me back to the times when there was no stress,
when we could get plenty of rest,

I remember the times,
when we would always play,
all day,
and when our parents called we would always run away,

kids beings kids, wishing they were adults,
and adults being adults wishing they were kids once more,
we being young, doing things we couldn't refrain,
you wouldn't know the things I would do,
to live those days again.
