When We Where Young - Poem by Callum Kyle

Time stood still
times where simple
every day was a waking adventure
with possibilities endless to the sky

time has slipped through the hour glass
like tiny grains of sand
why has time fleeted us
where has our innocence gone

With no care in the world
glee bantered in each days sun
each of us has bestowed the memory
of a time that we store in a box in our minds

reminding us
when times weren't always this way
when we where young

oh, this is so beautiful, nostalgia writ all over it...I agree the memories of times that were simple, days that were sunny and minds that were unpolluted...they all beckon us....this is a wonderful poem...I liked it (Report) Reply
