While I'M Sleeping - Poem by Perfect Fool

I don’t feel anything
When I'm asleep
Happy unconsciousness
When my dreams take hold

In my dreams
I'm who I want to be
I know I still have them
Somewhere deep inside

Steal me while I'm sleeping
Fix me while I'm peaceful
Let your light flood my dreams
Every night

Don’t ever let me wake up
From this
Keep your light bathing me
Cleansing my head

Love me while I'm sleeping
Burn my hate in reality
Keep your arms around me
And your hand on my heart

Wrap me up in your spirit
To keep me safe
While I'm sleeping
Keep me dreaming of you
