Whispers In The Dark - Poem by Lynzi Berner

Can I keep you?
I whisper to the dark
I get no answers
only the wind
blowing against my
bedroom window

How strange
that I talk to you
as if you were here
yet comforting
There is this calming effect
to telling you my thoughts

Can I keep you?
I whisper to the dark
I hear a branch
against my
bedroom window
