Whispers Of My Mom - Poem by Dee Boggas

What is a whisper you say
I know that’s what you said
The sounds I hear that are in my head.

These are they the wisdom you speak
What to wear and please look neat
What’s for Dinner
Who’s that on the phone
Did you brush your teeth
Did you eat
Pull up your pants
Take out the trash
Do you really Love him
You have to make it last.
What is your passion
Can you see the truth
The list goes on and on… Lord I miss you…

But now these are they
the whispers in the wind…
Of your voice I can only hear them
Only… in my head

Forced to move on
Forced to be strong
Forced to Love on
That’s what they said

But I would do Anything… Anything
To hear something more than the Whispers in my head.
