' Who Can You Turn To' - Poem by Alisha Weaver
“Who Can You Turn To”
Who can you turn to
When there’s no one to turn to?
The one you trusted abandoned you,
You don’t know which way to go
‘cause someone always lead you.
Who can you turn to?
You are confused
About what is going on,
You respected that someone
And that someone dishonored you.
You believed they wouldn’t hurt you.
Who can you turn to?
You woke believing that everything’s alright,
When you know it’s not.
Can’t talk to anybody, because you are afraid.
Who is there to trust,
When there’s dust everywhere?
Who can you turn to?
You’re heart is hurting
From all the you went through.
Its like someone stabbed you.
Where can you go,
When all this is done.
Who can you turn to?
Your thinking,
“Why did that someone that someone had the audacity,
to do that to me”?
You hear screaming and voices.
You’re on your knees crying,
Then you realize, there is
someone you can trust
And that someone is GOD!
