Why? - Poem by salina daarud

Why can't you take
me as I am?
You push and shove,
Never pleased.
Bitter words cut into
my Heart,
while your eyes ask
why You can't have better.
I am not perfect
for you,
Nothing is good enough.
I fall far from
expectation.
I plead silently
for you to relent,
but you press harder
unmercifully,
and cruelly.
