Why Me? - Poem by Talisa Dee Whitmore

I am being taken by a darkness formed of shadows,
One throws me over his shoulder...
He drops me to the rocks, in the alley
Then he strokes my hair back
And he instigates an unwanted kiss

He pins me down and I no longer can move
My pants he unbuttons and unzips as he instigates another kiss
I could scream but I'm too afraid of the gun I see
Now his pants, he undoes they're now to his knees

I know what his intentions are
Now frightened he leans down to his pleasure
The pain is now inside me as the tears still roll down my cheek
Not tears of joy, but pain and questioning

Why did he chose me
Am I that easily seen as a victim
It's been a minute, now two, now three, he cums
And he runs off to leave me

I never thought I'd be raped
Who would do this to me, I don't deserve this
Better me than a younger girl, but my life is over
What if I'm pregnant, please don't let this be
