Will You Be There? - Poem by Joanna Rampton

When Dawn comes to promise a new day
When the darkest of shadows are swept away
Will you watch over me until I wake
Will you hold me close if I break

Will you be there to catch my fall
Will you be next to me, standing tall
Will you be there to soothe my pain
And tell me its ok when there is only rain

Will you hold my hand as we walk
Will you listen closely as we talk
Will you be my fire in the cold
Will you be my rock in days of old

When I'm alone will you be right there
When I'm sad will you tell me you care
When I'm scared and lost and push you away
Please don't listen, will you still stay?

When the darkness comes back to crawl and creep
Will you be there to guard my sleep
Will you love me whole and true
And keep me going when I' am blue

Will you be there forever more
To make me laugh when my tears pour
Our love together is truly rare
Please promise me you'll always be there
