Winter Moods

Rating: 5.0
Everything is shy in winter
The sun, shy, alters its path
The moon, shy, peeps behind curtains of clouds
Animals, shy, hide in their burrows
Pretty girls whose thighs kept adrenaline going
All covered up
Shy?
My thermometer subdued
Shy
Mercury playing hide and seek in it's lower basement

Windows closed
Doors barricaded
Skin like chicken pox
Shying from exposure

My new composure;
A jersey inside
A jacket outside
Four layers of blankets
Wife melded to me
In the mood
Winter moods.

So true. Weather affects our way of life and moods. A perceptive poem well conveyed and crafted.
