Winter Rose Poem by JoJo Bean, Dodgy Dave and Meggie Gultiano

Winter Rose

Rating: 4.5

A winter rose is very rare
Whose delicate petals weep
As the bitter north winds blows
Them fiercely off to sleep
They awaken from their slumber
Beneath a warming sun

And rise to stretch in glory
As a new day has begun
The winter rose has flourished
Through the passing time
A symbol of life's passion
And love that is sublime

A new beginning, never to end
A life's passion, deeper than the sea
Embracing this thirsty soul
Never to be separated again
By the north wind blows..this winter rose

A beautiful sign of hope and love strong enough to survive the harshness of winter, and also a wonderful metaphor. Nice collaboration effort - you three do justice to each other making this three times more enjoyable! Thank you! Linda :)

Winter rose is so much prettier than the botanical name Helloborus, but the plant is quite a stunner, irrespective of what name you choose to call it. And this poem is quite a stunner too. You three are certainly on a roll. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
