Would you have given up this moment of wintertime...for one in summer with kids on a merry-go-round? Course you wouldn't have! A picture etched in our mind needs to be immortalized on paper, for memory and to share with others. You have done this excellently! ! xxElysabeth

Allie, you'll be pleased to know that this was roughly the sight I woke to this morning in Renfrewshire, Scotland. There were very few cockatoos admittedly, but the ground and trees wore a big white fleece and massive flakes of snow were falling. But still your picture seems more convincing. The magic is in the detail. That makes this an exceptionally evocative poem! ! Thank you. jim

Nice use of imagery - very colorful picture. Looking at the world as an observer, no longer a participant, but comfortable and at peace. A true winter song.

An excellent build up to the full-on snow fall of some years ago but leave the parsely off the soup, por favor?
