With Every Move - Poem by Barry Conway

WITH EVERY MOVE

THE FACADE OF HER SMILE,
ONLY DISAPPEARS WHEN THE DIAMOND NEEDLE,
GIVES VOICE TO THE BLACK DISC OF HER FREEDOM.
FOR BETWEEN EACH GROOVE LIES HER ESCAPE,
WHERE MOVEMENT IS THE RELEASE OF CONFORMALITY.

HER ONLY PLEASURE IS TO DANCE ALONE,
BUT IN THE DREAMS OF HER MOVEMENT,
EYES REMAINCLOSED WITH THE DESIRE,
OF A YOUNG LITHE BODY IN NEED OF LOVE.

SHE SMILES THE SMILE OF A YOUNG BABY,
CREATING ANOTHER DREAM OF FULFILLMENT,
A LOVER WHO IS WITH HER EVERY MOVE,
FOR WHEN SHE DANCES SHE IS IN LOVE

Topic(s) of this poem: dance, dancing, desire, free mind, freedom, love and art, love and dreams, love and life, music, need for human
