Within His Poet's Sanctuary Poem by james watkin

Within His Poet's Sanctuary

Excepting the beard, and that staff
In hand, leaving behind
A wanderer's grounds, as ragged
To step, as uninclined
I, too, alone with my thoughts
And monkish, push my way
World-deep ahead. Avid, agog
With its finds; day by day.
