Without You - Poem by Bronwyn Marquez

I hear a knock
The police are at the door
Bearing my son
Oh God what has he done now

I’ve told him repetitively
To stop
It’s only hurting him more
His body slowly being defeated

Letting the drugs completely take over him
But he doesn’t understand
He thinks he’s on top of the world
Well sorry to tell you little boy

But one day you’re going to fall off
Into a painful hell
And you’ll be too far down for me to
Save you

I miss it without you baby boy
Please come home to me
I need you
I love you
