Words Of Unadvice - Poem by Aleak Nellem

Skin is only beauty deep
Leap before you look a peep

Speak before you think a thought
Save your money on what you bought

Eat before you swim a bunch
Close your mouth if you have a hunch

Take a walk in your own shoes
What have you got to lose?

Kill the king if he is dead
then make a point to lose your head

Break into a candy shop
and steal a giant lollipop

Hear a smell so soft so sweet
Smell a sound that'll make you weep

Break a bone to watch it heal
Drive without a steering wheel

Close your eyes while climbing stairs
Run into the lairs of bears

Rub a lamp that's full of dust
then waste each wish, this you must

Hope for rain when you go out
Drink hot tea from the spout

Never try at anything
Anger a bee to watch him sting

Take these words of unadvice
And you will always pay the price

I enjoyed this poem. It was funny however I felt a serious undertone. It felt like a case of reverse psychology. This poem was well written! (Report) Reply
