Worth Poem by Shruti Goswami

Worth

Sometimes, I think,
Is it worth living for?
This loveless life,
Is it worth giving for?
When destiny,
Does not destine happiness,
To change it,
Is it worth changing for?
How long, shall I go on?
Enjoy it while it lasts;
Will you complain, when I am gone?
Retreat, in the abyss of damnation.
Shall you never feel?
It was something,
To which you could have held on.
You condemn me, to live a life
An unbearable burden,
While condemning yourself,
On similar lines;
A death daily, and starvation,
Was that intended?
Is it so cheap?
That it's not worth fighting for?
