Xii - Poem by D.. Marks

Haunted by these memories
Hopeless by my dreams
You walked into my life as graceful as can be
Now I’m wondering what went wrong
That you are not here with me

You’re just a ghost inside my head
Dream that won’t come true
Sometimes I feel I’m dead
Scared and hopeless for only you

I thought I could get over
What we had and used to be
But somethings never change
And it’s getting harder everyday to see
That you are floating farther away
Into a distant memory

You’re just a ghost inside my head
Dream that won’t come true
Sometimes I feel I’m dead
Scared and hopeless for only you

We joked about the future
How we could never leave each other
But that was just a memory
A dream dreamt by some other
Because you are gone away
And I’m left all alone
But in my dreams you wait for me
And make me feel at home

I want this ghost outside my head
This dream to please come true
And hold you in my arms again
Relieved and thankful I have you
