Yes You Were Incredible - Poem by Lindsay Crosby

Its like there is nothing in this world today
To take my sadness away
It’s that incredible
I am so young
I am so hungry but nothing is edible
And I blamed everything on you
Its like there is nothing to behold
Even our love turned cold
It makes me mad when people say “ its only first love,
don’t get carried away”
Don’t they understand you went away

I wrote this song for you
But it’s probablely more of a song for me
It’s like everything I do
Its like I pushed you away
And I don’t understand why you went away
Its like you left me all alone
The mark you left on me is indelible
Yes you were incredible
Yes you are right when you say I was told,
but if I may be so bold, and ask you
to come back today
This is my song for you
This is not like anything I would do

Its like there is nothing in this world today
It’s that incredible
We are so young
I am so hungry but nothing is edible
And I blamed everything on you
Its like there is nothing to behold
Even our love turned cold
And you went away
