Tabitha Broadstreet

Yesterday - Poem by Tabitha Broadstreet

By the law
Am now an adult
Ready to be thrust into this big place
But inside me
Am still growing up
Which yesterday was in an always changing world
Not ready for reality
When life creeps upon me
Don't want to be sucked in
Into this unknown world
What once did past
No one remembers
For it was yesterday
No one cares
Follow footsteps
That once had a meaning
Now has no meaning at all
To be somebody
Won't matter in a hundred years
To be forgotten was yesterday
Yesterday, the whole world happened
Today, it will soon be nothing again
