Yield - Poem by s./j. goldner

there’s a road ahead flooded with road-blocks
and a road behind amassed in pot-holes;
I need to clear a path.

wait
life,
wait.

    The title caught my eye (so did 'Up Yours', 'We have passed this cathartic mark' etc. but I wasn't keen on those pieces) and you did a good job here. If not Sufi wisdom then Susi wisdom. Very effective and a delight to gaze upon and unclutter the mind. (Report) Reply

    A truth brilliantly presented. If only life did wait. (Report) Reply

    I wonder about the current ground and perhaps the rest will be taken care of in time. I enjoyed this very much-stopped (wait) me in my tracks to ponder my current groundedness. (Report) Reply

    thanks Goldy, we wait and never fall since we stumble in the pitfalls we never fall, it will make us strong when we stumble and some creation's hold's on us strong. (Report) Reply

    Life is like a cafeteria because you have to wait in line when you're hungry. (Report) Reply

    Excellent piece Goldy! if we fall into the pitfalls they label us as sinners? What a pity? (Report) Reply

    Sensible message. Sensible girl. From one who jumps in both feet first and notices the potholes after she's fallen into 'em... :) t x (Report) Reply

    Okay...as i interpret it, I see that you are talking about life, with the mistakes in the past=potholes and challengs ahead=road-blocks...and you need to take a breather/break from it....

    6 line poem..its great...but wonder if my interpretation matches with what you intended to put accross!

    did i get it right?
